Luxury cruiser manufacturer, Maritimo, says the level of confidence at the recent Yachts Miami Beach show was higher than expected and the quality of visitors to the show was up on recent years. Maritimo displayed five boats at the show including the M54 and M64 cruising motoryachts and it also had the world premier of its latest model, the ‘beamy’ M59 cruising motoryacht.
Maritimo’s International Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, who attended the show said the number of visitors to Miami who were seriously in the market to buy was higher than previous years.
“Miami always attracts a lot of interest being the first major show of the calendar year and historically there are a lot of people who are just looking and there for a good time,” he said. This year we saw an increase in real buyers.”
Maritimo does not release actual sales figures following boat shows where it displays its vessels, but said it was extremely happy with the result of the Miami show with multiple deals finalised and several more under negotiation.
“There was considerable interest in the M59 and we also locked away a sedan sale on the final day of the show,” he said. “Buyers we are dealing with came from Texas, Detroit, Canada and Maryland. By far the most repeated comment we got from visitors to our stand related to the quality of the finishes and fit out of our models.”
Haines said the M59 would have its Australian debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show along with the very first S70 cruising motoryacht. He said the company’s dealer partner network in the USA was growing and strengthening and in several cases, with some of those partners, Maritimo was the most successful brand they represented.
“Our brand awareness is increasing considerably month to month and the efforts of our dealer partners such as Galati Yacht Sales is paying solid dividends.”
