The demand for Maritimo Luxury Motor Yachts has accelerated greatly in the South-East Asian and Japanese regions, with new vessels being delivered, and interest and demand increasing in key boating regions throughout this sector.
Maritimo has continued to expand its global network into Asia, with the company appointing dealers in key markets over the past 3 years, resulting it high interest for the Australian Luxury Motor Yacht manufacturer.
Derrick Nowak, Maritimo’s Global Business Development Manager is focused on promoting Maritimo in South-East Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
From his two decades of experience working within the region, Derrick observes, “The entire Asian region is rapidly changing with the financial centre shifting from Hong Kong to Singapore.
“This has created a vibrant hub for boating and boat sales. Customers come to Singapore from all over Asia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand for business interests. and we at Maritimo, are looking forward to participating in the upcoming Singapore Yachting Festival – April 25 – 28.
Each country has its own identity, its own relationship with water and boating. Singapore is a thriving business and leisure centre, and centrally located to the stunning cruising areas of the Straits of Malacca to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Products that are Australian made are in high demand. Maritimo motor yachts are well known for their safety features, quality construction, high standards and contemporary features.
Appointed in February 2023, The Yacht Sales Co. is Maritimo’s official dealer in Southeast Asia. Their experience and coverage of the region with offices in Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong, as well as agents in the Philippines and Malaysia, ensure reliable sales, service, and support for Maritimo owners wherever they cruise.
“We were first established in Phuket, then moved into Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam,” he adds. “We have sales and service centres in Singapore and Thailand.
“Singapore is an important hub for buyers and a major shipping port, so owners often taken delivery there, then cruise to Indonesia, Thailand and the South China Sea. An hour-and-a-half flight and you’re on your boat in Thailand, where there’s a great choice of trades.”
Over the past few years, the population of Singapore has grown considerably. “And they are the perfect demographic for boat sales,” Mark observes.
“Boating is rising in popularity, particularly post-Covid, as expats have returned home. There has been a big uptake since the pandemic, and in the new boat market people are buying bigger boats. We have had a number of sales into Singapore in 2023 and have a number of prospective customers interested in the 60 to 75-foot range.”
Imperative to Maritimo’s success in the region is “a united sales and marketing strategy and a service team to support owners”.
As Mark explains, “We have the infrastructure and the experience to support new boat buyers.”
As a brand, Maritimo is well-known and respected throughout Asia, thanks to its 20-year history and reputation for technically advanced, long-range cruising motor yachts.
“There is a huge appetite for Australian-made,” says Mark. “Maritimos are better suited than most because of their Long Range capabilities, their Enclosed Flybridge that is air-conditioned for comfort in this region, Shaft drive for dependability and modern contemporary luxury interiors.. Then you have all the comforts on board for families.”
“While the Maritimo brand is new to many in Southeast Asia and it’s becoming better known than ever before. We have a program of boat shows and events that will promote Maritimo all over Asia.”
The Yacht Sales Co. represented Maritimo at the recent Thailand International Boat Show in January and is scheduled to appear at the 2024 Singapore Yachting Festival, 25 to 28 April.
”Even more new Maritimos will arrive soon, and will be exhibited at boat shows from 2025,” Mark states.

Eins A Resort represents high-quality imported and domestic boats, as well as full service and support to for its customers at its Osaka headquarters and showroom and through its extensive retail and commercial sub-dealers throughout Japan.

Japan has a strong boating culture, vast coastline, hundreds of islands and the Seto Inland Sea, and the infrastructure in place with marinas dotted around the country. An archipelagic country, Japan stretches from northernmost island of Hokkaido to the subtropical south of Okinawa.
