MARITIMO EXPANDS IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST USA WITH NEW SEATTLE OFFICE

Maritimo has further strengthened its position in the Pacific Northwest USA with the opening of a company owned office in Seattle and the appointment of two of  the regions most successful and respected yacht brokers.

Maritimo’s CEO Garth Corbitt said the expansion of the company’s footprint in the region was an exciting step forward in Maritimo’s international brand expansion strategy and would be a major positive for existing Maritimo owners in the Pacific Northwest.

Maritimo Americas’ President Dave Northrop said Maritimo already had a strong position in the Northwest with Compass Point Yachts representing Maritimo for many years.

“The move toward company owned operations emphasizes Maritimo’s commitment to provide the finest buying and ownership experience for our owners,” he said. “Our company staff are exclusively focused on the Maritimo experience, and by eliminating the middle-man we can not only offer an expert direct factory contact but also the best value for a luxury purchase.”

“Bill and Michelle King of Compass Point Yachts have worked very hard in this area and have a lot of happy Maritimo owner clients and our new Seattle office and new appointments will just take our presence to the next level.”

The Kings now head up the Maritimo company office in Newport Beach, California and they will also be active in the Northwest market.

“Everyone involved is very excited and the beneficiaries will be our existing owners and also new buyers,” said Northrop.

CEO Corbitt said the office opening and new appointments were part of the company’s strategic international expansion. The two new appointments to work in the Seattle office are highly experienced and respected brokers Paul Groesbeck and Jason Smith.

“Together they have decades of experience and combining with Bill King will form a formidable sales force for Maritimo in the Pacific Northwest,” said Corbitt. “We are thrilled to have Jason and Paul join us and I strongly believe our sales of luxury flybridge motoryachts and sports yachts in this region will be significantly boosted as a result.”

Maritimo - Jason Smith and Paul Groesbeck

Jason Smith is a Washington native who has been boating his entire life.  Starting his yacht sales career in San Francisco he quickly became a top salesman and spent much of his Seattle experience with Alexander Marine. When not working he can be found with wife Marissa, son Tyler and their golden retriever, Tinsley, aboard their classic wooden Stephens yacht, Coquette.

Paul Groesbeck has been in the boating industry for the last 16 years and the entire time with the Ocean Alexander team. Also an avid boater  Paul and his wife Debbie and their two girls Brooke and Katie are on the water whenever they get time.

Both Paul and Jason are members of the elite group of Certified Professional Yacht Brokers and are bound by a strict code of ethics. They both said they were thrilled to be part of the Maritimo Americas’ team and looked forward to introducing their many contacts and customers to the Maritimo brand.

Northrop said the new Seattle sales duo of Groesbeck and Smith will debut at the Seattle Boat Show (January 24 – February 1) alongside their Californian colleague Bill King. Maritimo will have three vessels on display at Seattle, all three flybridge motoryachts.

“Our range of flybridge motoryachts is particularly popular in this area because of the enhanced visibility and the climate controlled environment,” said Northrop. “Boating in this area is often done in cold conditions and there are also a lot of logs in the water in certain areas so you have to be able to have good vision to avoid doing damage. We are very excited about the upcoming show and cannot wait to roll out our new, enhanced team publicly.”

Corbitt said overall sales by Maritimo into the Americas had increased by approximately 60 percent in the past 12 months and the Pacific Northwest was vitally important to  the company’s ongoing expansion and west coast synergy with the California office.

Maritimo motor yachts

Maritimo luxury motoryachts are renowned for their superior seakeeping ability, economical performance, style and luxury fitouts. The vessels are exported throughout the world with major markets in the USA, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and obviously Australia.

“Our motoryachts are crafted to handle the most extreme conditions imaginable and to provide their owners with an environment of safety, luxury and high performance.”

Maritimo is one of the only luxury yacht manufacturers in the world with a dedicated offshore powerboat race team competing internationally and much of the knowledge gained in that pursuit is inbuilt into the production yachts. Maritimo has just won the 2019 UIM XCAT World Championships.
