MARITIMO APPOINTS NEW SYDNEY FACTORY DIRECT SALES CONSULTANT

Maritimo has welcomed a new factory direct sales consultant to its network, Josh Nash Director at Nash Marine Sales in picturesque Pittwater.

Located at Princes Street Marina, Newport, Josh established his business at the start of 2024, building on a decade of experience in boat sales, and prior to that, working in real estate in Sydney and hospitality in Whistler, Canada.

“It’s wonderful to share the boating experience with customers and see them enjoy quality time with their families and friends.” Josh states.

Josh and his team, comprising his dad, Steve Nash who is Service Manager, and Bruce Mitchell and Harry Tullett, both Sales, represent smaller boat brands and brokerage vessels, and have acquired a loyal clientele.

“Maritimo fits perfectly within our portfolio,” says Josh. “Many of our customers have owned large motor yachts and all of them know and respect the Maritimo brand. With Bill Barry-Cotter at the helm and his 60 years of expertise in design and construction, they know they will get a quality product built for Australian conditions.”

As Josh explains, “The Maritimo philosophy and aesthetics, the focus on large entertaining spaces, suits the Australian boating lifestyle.

“Every Maritimo is built to order. We are looking forward to working with owners on determining the model for them, then guiding them through the options and the build process to personalise their Maritimo.”

Nash Marine is idyllically situated on pristine Pittwater, Sydney’s boating playground and close to the fascinating cruising grounds of the Hawkesbury River, a short and scenic run from Sydney Harbour in the south or Lake Macquarie to the north.

There are several slipways nearby and the team at Nash Marine has a reliable network of local contractors for all warranty and service on engines and equipment. They pride themselves on customer support and can suggest itineraries for days, weekends or weeks out on the water.

Next on the agenda is their first owner event; a spring barbecue in October for owners and their families to get to know each other.

Josh and his wife, Britta live just next door to the dealership, and they are expecting their first child in November. “We’re looking forward to introducing our baby to the boating lifestyle from an early age! There’s no better feeling than the freedom of getting out on your boat and exploring our beautiful waterways.”

Ormonde Britton, Australasian Sales Manager, said, “Maritimo was delighted to have Josh and Nash Marine working with them. There has been an increased appetite for the Maritimo Motor Luxury Yachts in southern markets, and we are responding to market demand in Sydney and New South Wales by appointing Nash Marine as our latest Maritimo Consultant.’”

“Josh has a passion for the Maritimo brand and boundless energy, with a long-term view of the industry and a great rapport with his clients, which is part of the Maritimo Family ethos.”
